A source-linked record of Pacific Grove’s rolling Flock totals. This is an experimental vehicle-activity indicator—not an exact traffic count and never a record of individual drivers.
The chart will draw its first trend after two verified daily snapshots. Six-hour readings are retained, with the final reading from each day used for the public chart.
How adjustment worksBecause the portal reports a rolling 30-day total, records expire continuously. Until daily source data are available, the monitor estimates normal rolloff as one-thirtieth of the previous total. The estimate will always be labeled.
What triggers reportingUnusual changes prompt checks of police releases, arrest logs, closures, events and other public sources. A numerical change alone is never reported as a police incident.
