Pacific Grove’s revised travel policy sets out reimbursable expenses, approval responsibilities and documentation for city employees and public officials.
AT A GLANCE
Pacific Grove’s posted meeting and travel reimbursement policy identifies September 16, 2026, as its latest amendment date under Resolution 26-033.
The policy requires employees to submit approved travel claims within 45 days of returning. It excludes personal and family expenses, alcohol and entertainment. For travel within California, department directors review employees’ reimbursements, the city manager reviews directors’ claims, and the Administrative Services Director reviews the city manager’s claims.
Council and board travel expenses outside the approved budget require City Council approval before travel. The rules govern reimbursement from Pacific Grove public funds. The document states an amendment date but does not provide an exact revision time.
