Northwest winds of 15 to 25 knots are forecast, with gusts up to 30 knots near Point Pinos and occasional gusts up to 35 knots farther south.

The National Weather Service's 2:30 p.m. Wednesday marine message covers the coastal waters from Pigeon Point to Point Pinos out 10 nautical miles and the adjacent offshore waters. Near Point Pinos, northwest winds of 15 to 25 knots with gusts up to 30 knots are expected through 9 a.m. Friday. The waters south from Point Pinos to Point Piedras Blancas may see occasional gusts up to 35 knots.
The advisory is directed to mariners rather than beach visitors.
